We, the undersigned residents, parents, educators, and taxpayers of Leander ISD, strongly oppose the proposed closures of existing schools, particularly in the Steiner Ranch community. We believe these closures are premature, unjustified, and harmful — especially while new construction projects continue elsewhere in the district.
We respectfully demand that LISD:
- Remove school closures from all long-range planning “Paths”
- Explore all community-driven alternatives before considering consolidation
- Release transparent, line-item cost analyses for any proposed closures or builds
- Commit to equity by investing in existing schools — not abandoning them
